Job Title: Financial Manager Department: Finance Location: Lake Forest, CA **Please note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the US** Netwatch Group have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Manager to work with National Monitoring Centre in our Californian Headquarters, in Lake Forest. This role will be responsible for managing the day to day financial responsibilities along with preparing and delivering accurate and timely monthly accounts, reports and management information for NMC. The Financial Manager will contribute to the overall successful operation of NMC through the support and delivery of operational reporting, financial support and guidance. The successful candidate will identify areas of improvement, benchmark, define action plans and be accountable with deliverables. Responsibilities: Manage all accounting operations including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, GL and Counsel, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition Support the company's development of an annual budget Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements Perform analytics to understand business trends and drive decision making Oversee month-end close, including preparation of financials, reconciliation of bank accounts, and reclasses to the general ledger Coordinate periodic closing process and prepare supporting schedules and work papers for financial review and financial audits Establish and maintain monthly forecasting and reporting tools Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings Monitor monthly expenditure against budgets and perform variance analysis Manage audits of the business for the purpose of guaranteeing accuracy in reporting Analyse, recommend, and implement necessary improvements across the finance landscape of the business in order to ensure integrity Evaluate current policies and practices within the finance department and strive to drive continuous improvement, research, and analyses in all accounting matters Establish and implement accounting procedures and policies in accordance with accounting principles and the state law of the business's jurisdiction Maintain knowledge and awareness across the finance department and ensure compliance with all state and local regulatory requirements Identify projects across Finance as part of the continuous improvement program, including the utilization of technology and financial systems to streamline business processes and give further enhancement to customer service while maintaining and effective control framework Work closely with Senior Managers, reviewing budgets and targets, analysis of the variances, working capital management, cash-flow management and managing the annual budgeting process Provide strategic input and sound commercial support to the Senior Management Teams  Requirements: Required: Bachelor degree in Accounting / Finance Preferred: Professional member of a certified accounting body (Chartered or CPA) Preferred: MBA Demonstrated success as a Financial Controller in a multinational business Solid technical skills through a career in accounting and finance roles in industry Demonstrated expert-level Excel and financial modelling skills Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures in a multinational business Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, SOX compliance and company reporting Excellent communication and presentation skills Excellent project management and organisational skills Advanced Excel skills necessary, including the ability to design and utilize effective spreadsheets Understanding of the confidential nature of the position Strong interpersonal skills and ability to use tact and diplomacy when interacting with others A proactive, hands-on strategic thinker with solid problem solving skills Company Overview: NMC has grown over 30 years to become the premier 3rd party monitoring company in the nation.
