Financial Controller - French - €90k

My client is an Irish company and is part of an international private investor group which owns businesses in multiple countries. The company has ambitions to both grow its existing business and to bring its business model to new territories and will make acquisitions of appropriate business assets. As part of its development plans, the company now wishes to employ an ambitious Financial Controller with fluent French to work with the Chairman to take the company to the next level. Travel to France and other European countries will be required. Main duties: • Responsibility for the delivery of budgeted P&L and Balance Sheet to investors. • Setting challenging budgets for Chairman/investor approval. • Hands on daily management of the Finance function as well as IT and HR located in the Dublin office. • Negotiate contracts with, and manage outsourcing partners in warehousing, logistics and other suppliers. • Work with Company Chairman to ensure all legal and contract matters are up to date. Liaise with company's auditors and legal advisors. • Manage Treasury function with Irish and European Bank accounts. • Develop plans to grow the business organically and by acquisition. • Integrate any acquisitions made. • Develop strong team culture in Dublin office. Requirements: • An experienced Financial Controller with a successful track record of working within a strong financially driven culture delivering a high quality monthly reporting package. • Strong financial and systems background • Demonstrated ability to handle both IT and HR issues • Ability to present strong, financially rational business cases to investors • Sufficient knowledge of logistics and fulfilment to identify solutions with the company's outsourced suppliers. • Experienced in delivering both sales growth and driving cost efficiency annually. • Experienced negotiator who has driven value through building high service levels at value for money pricing with large suppliers and managed these relationships effectively. • Willing to work ‘hands on' with a small team as and when required. • Good fluency in both business French and English • A knowledge of Direct Marketing business models would be an advantage.
