Statutory Analyst UK&I Statutory Finance and Accounting team 6 months contract Responsibilities Involved in the preparation of the annual statutory financial statements for the UK and Ireland entities in line with filing deadlines Preparation of supporting schedules and working papers for the annual Statutory Audit Drafting of accounting treatment memorandums Preparation of reconciliations between the UKI statutory and US GAAP Ledgers Liaising with auditors, answering queries and providing data as required Review and analysis of the Profit and Loss account and Balance Sheet Ensure integrity and completeness of financial records Perform internal controls in compliance with Sarbox/SAO Involved in the accounting for acquisitions and liquidations Provide accounting support to the Team Lead/Manager including responses to ad hoc requests Meet key reporting deadlines Ability to multi-task and provide cross team support as required Participate in continuous quality improvement projects Provide reporting to management on issues, statistics, metrics and projects Other ad hoc duties as required Skills Knowledge of Accounting Principles Analytical and computer skills preferably MS Office (Excel, Word) Communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and flexibility Customer focused Sense of responsibility, initiative and high quality work standards Strong team working skills Prior experience of SAP an advantage Fluency in English is required Qualifications/Experience Degree in Business, Finance or equivalent qualification would be preferable Min. 2+ years experience in an accounting environment, preferably in a practice environment Undertaking professional examinations
