Responsibilities include: Responsible for the preparation and accuracy of full US GAAP & Local GAAP balance sheet and profit & loss accounts on smaller countries. Or responsible for more complex areas of larger country ledgers i.e. significant accruals, provisions, payroll journals, VAT returns, etc. Preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with Enterprise Wide Accounting Policies & Procedures Manual requirements for areas of responsibility. Taking the initiative to prepare action plans / documenting issues of concern for areas of responsibility and working collaboratively with management to bring them to conclusion. Participate in more complex transition activities including documenting to the required standard desk level procedures for assigned areas of responsibility. Involvement in supporting statutory audit preparation. For example: Ability to prepare a first draft of financial statements under guidance Ability to  manage a complete audit requirement listing for US GAAP & Local ledger(s) of responsibility, ensuring all items on the listing are prepared on time & to the required standard for the purposes of the external audit. Escalating for support as required Actively support GAC initiatives such as training through presenting on specified topics to GAC teams or cross training within own team. Qualifications/Work Experience: Undergraduate degree/diploma in accounting 1-3 years work experience in a general ledger or related accounting function Part qualified in a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA - MASTERS LEVEL Professional Qualifications). US GAAP experience/shared service environment preferred Strong communication skills Additional European Language an Advantage
