Research Accountant - 11 month Contract Role My client, a commercial business within the public sector based in Dublin North is seeing a Research Accountant for an 11 month contract. The Research Accountant will report to the Research Finance Team manager Job Description: Provide support and advice to the Research Community regarding all the financial requirements relating to assigned research projects Preparation/review and approval of expenditure claims for individual research projects as part of the submissions process to Funding Bodies Ensure that funding claims/invoices are organised in a timely manner, and that expenditures incurred on projects are eligible and supported by appropriate documentation Liaise with funders/external stakeholders regarding financial reports Review and approval of financial elements in research project applications/proposals Regular liaison with Human Resources departments to ensure a co-ordinated approach in the provision of research support services Gathering and presentation of information required for external audits. Dealing with queries both during and after the audits Application of necessary financial and system controls within the Research Finance area Requirements: Qualified/Part Qualified accountant The successful applicant will be well organised, be able to co-ordinate and progress the tasks associated with the post on their own initiative Possess an ability to work effectively as part of the team, offering support to colleagues when required Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Good MS Excel skills and experience with financial systems Salary: €35-€50K
