Group Finance Accountant

Robert Half Bristol are working exclusively with an acquisitive PE backed multinational distribution business who continue to grow worldwide. This role allows the incoming accountant to take ownership of the international group financial setup, with the option to travel across the world (all expenses paid) to visit acquired business sites where needed.

Role

The Group Finance Accountant will be an integral member of the international group finance and accountancy team based in Bristol.

Key duties will include:
  • Maintenance and enhancement of excel-based consolidation, budgeting and reporting system
  • Providing support for international finance managers and cross-functional management
  • Preparation of reports and analyses for executive team
  • Preparation of monthly Bank Reporting
  • Preparation of consolidated Group statutory reporting (IFRS)
  • Integration of acquired companies financial reporting into consolidation
  • Financial modelling for acquisition financing and ensure compliance with banking covenants
  • Consolidated Cash Flow reporting on IFRS basis
  • Review of weekly cash forecasting
  • Support for tax and legal function
  • Treasury administration
  • Ad-hoc duties as required


Profile

The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified, looking for a first move from their accountancy practice firm or an individual that has post-qualified commercial accountancy experience.

Other key attributes for the Group Finance Accountant are:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent IT Skills, must be highly proficient with Excel (Macro/Modelling level), SAP experience desirable
  • Able to contribute ideas for continuous improvement to the Group Finance Team
  • Able to communicate effectively to cross-functional management team
  • IFRS experience desired
  • Flexible on international travel on occasions (not essential)


Salary & Benefits
  • £40k - £48k + Private Medical and pension
  • 6 month probationary period
