Financial Accountant

Michael Page are working with a well known Retail brand in East Yorkshire to recruit a Management Accountant.

Our client are a well known brand in the area who are well known in their market for offering high quality products. Their Head Office houses all business areas and Finance is seen as a value add function, offering high quality financial control and commercial input to drive sales and profits.

Description

Responsibilities will include;

• Drafting and reviewing areas of the Management Accounts
• Reviewing Bank reconciliations
• Overseeing and reconciling fixed assets
• Reconciling wages and various other Balance Sheet accounts
• Ensure the areas above interface with the monthly Management Accounts accurately and on a timely basis
• Preparing and validating the company VAT return
• Driving departmental change
• A variety of other ad-hoc duties and reporting working as part of the Finance function

Profile

For this role you will ideally be a Qualified Accountant or at the latter stages of your qualification (ACCA/CIMA). Qualified by Experience candidates would also be considered.

You will also have worked in a similar role with experience of preparing management accounts.
