Acutely aware of changing market requirements, we continue to supply consumers with premium quality products at competitive prices.   McCarren Meats, part of the Kepak Group, is currently recruiting for a hard-working and highly-motivated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance Team.  Reporting to the Site Finance Manager, the role will involve the preparation of weekly accounts and dashboards for management reporting while giving support to all areas of the Finance function, Debtors, Creditors, Payroll and banking, and assisting with Sales Administration.  This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Ireland's leading manufacturing and meat-processing groups and gain experience in the industry.   Job Purpose/Primary Objective: Provide assistance in a busy finance department.  This will be a varied role and will cover all aspects of the finance function. Reporting Relationship: This post reports to the Site Finance Manager   Key Responsibilities: ·           Management of Weekly Accounts process to minimise Weekly to Monthly differences and provide explanations for any significant stock gains/losses ·           Produce reports for the local site senior management team to highlight key business and operational control issues ·           Assist Site Finance Manager with annual financial audit ·           Assist Site Finance Manager with preparation of budget and forecasts ·           Variance analysis ·           Ad hoc queries and reports where required     Skills/Knowledge/Experience: ·         2 years previous experience as part of a finance team in industry ·         Part Qualified/Newly Qualified Accountant or Accounts Technician or holder of relevant 3rd level education ·         Proficiency in accounting packages and Microsoft Office products, in particular Excel ·         Excellent interpersonal and communications skills ·         Accuracy and attention to detail are vital skills required for this position ·         A strong work ethic
