Lead Backend Java Developer

Within mobile there's a strong focus on business value and giving the customers the features they need. My client are currently re-engineering their digital platform as there has been a huge rise in the number of customers interacting on the mobile and tablet app and internet banking website.
The team you will be joining will be involved with the evolution of the core design and architectural framework of these platforms to help further integrate with the banks physical channels. Also to help ensure smooth and seamless look to h
The role will also involve delivering new features and capabilities that act as enablers for value streams to build out from.

As this is a lead position you will be able to work without supervision and provide guidance and leadership to others. Also show a real passion for coaching other engineers and building a strong team culture.
Your key responsibilities will include engaging with technical groups and adopting solid engineering practices. You will also be writing modular, well-tested applications with a long lifespan.
To be considered for this role you will need to have previous experience with micro-service architecture (Mainly using Java). Strong experience with Spring frameworks or Apache CXF, testing frameworks (Unit testing - Mockito, BDD - JBehave).

You will need to display a strong understanding of source code repositories and change management tools, particularly Git as well as good knowledge of the entire software development life-cycle from inception, through build to production.
