• Provide line of sight to satisfy the Chief Compliance Officer that all required reporting is completed in a timely fashion in line with the standards set;
• Produce and analyse management information to report upon the effectiveness of the overall framework to M&G’s Risk & Compliance Committee and M&G’s statutory entity boards as required;
• Review and challenge the regulatory reporting procedures established to ensure they meet expectations;
• Support the business in partnership with the Compliance Advisory team in defining ownership and process where new regulatory reporting requirements arise;
• Have ownership of the central regulatory breach register and lead on analysis of breach management information, liaising with Compliance Advisory and other SMEs;
• Work with the Regulatory Liaison Director where breaches / incidents are potentially notifiable or reportable to our regulators;
• Contribute to the Compliance Framework & Reporting function to ensure that the team has appropriate processes and procedures to deliver high quality services;
• Share learning across the team and support the training of other team members;
• Be proactive, demonstrate well considered judgements and anticipate emerging risks;
• Ensure that team procedures and M&G risk and control methodologies are applied on a consistent basis.
Internal & external relationships
• Develop positive and professional working relationships within the Compliance Department, and other stakeholders throughout M&G;
• Support the embedding of M&G culture and Compliance Department values within the team;
• Develop a good understanding of the Compliance Department and wider M&G governance framework; providing guidance to other Compliance Department personnel to the extent required;
• Support the development and maintenance of relationships with relevant external parties including, for example, the Depositary and External Audit.
