Finance Manager

Public Sector organisation based in Bristol is looking for a Finance Manager on a 2-year fixed term basis, to provide cover while the permanent post-holder is on secondment. You will be joining a well-established finance team – supporting them with on going projects and being directly responsible for 2 members of staff.

Your key responsibilities as well as ad hoc project work will be:


Management of a small finance team
Reviewing all financial and management reporting figures particularly the monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and ensuring that this information is produced on a timely and accurate basis
Providing advice and guidance to colleagues regarding financial accounting standards and internal guidance
Working with the Financial controller to further promote the usefulness and controls of the finance department to develop business further


Crucial to this role is the ability to work with a variety of different people across a business, have excellent communication and people skills and be able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.

Qualifications/experience required

Qualified accountant or equivalent
