Videos Duties HelpDuties Summary About the Position: Incumbent will prepare review plans for comprehensive examination of Ordnance and Explosives Directorate contracts as well as make recommendations on acquisitions and contracts by providing expert advice on the interpretation of Government contract cost accounting regulations as they relate to the Federal Acquisition Regulations. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities Review contract proposals and invoices for compliance with the requirements of Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 31, Contract Cost Principles and Procedures. Review contract proposals and invoices for compliance with the requirement of Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 42, Contract Administration and Audit Services, as well as Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Coordinate with the Contracting Officer Representative and Contracting Officer to document inconsistencies and coordinate with the contractor to facilitate corrections. Implement administrative procedures for contract close-out to include soliciting, receipt, and review of contract closeout documentation. Facilitate the requirements and receipt of contractor?s annual incurred cost submission as well as work with the Defense Contract Audit Agency to facilitate the review of Disclosure Statements. Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position up to 15% of the time away from permanent duty location. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing advice on the interpretation of government regulations used in the procurement and administration of cost-type contracts, including the Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR), Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and Cost Accounting Standards regulations (CAS). Prepare review plans for the comprehensive examination of contracts and Utilize FAR Part 31 (Contract Cost Principles and Procedures), 48 CFR 9903 and 48 CFR 9904 (Cost Accounting Standards) and FAR part 42 (Contract Administration and Audit Services) in the review of invoices, contractor's disclosure statements, and contractor's incurred cost submissions to determine regulatory compliance This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
