Position Summary: At Emerald Court the Assistant Executive Director is responsible for driving resident satisfaction, associate engagement, financial and process management, and strategic planning and implementation in coordination with the Executive Director. The Assistant Executive Director inspires and develops a high performing community management team, promotes coaching and development for all associates, and ensures that exceptional customer service is provided to residents, associates and guests, while maintaining operational standards and regulatory compliance. Essential Job Functions: Supports the Executive Director to meet and exceed community goals including Resident Loyalty, Associate Engagement and financial performance targets. Supervise community departments and initiatives as assigned. Source, interview, hire, train, manage and retain highly effective associates and create a climate of associate engagement through coaching, mentoring, teambuilding, performance management, recognition and professional development. Identify and develop talent for future succession opportunities. Use the voice of the customer, competitor analysis, and other data points to support community business planning and forecasting, and fluidly manage operations based on occupancy, financial targets and economic conditions. Drive process and continuous improvement. Fully implement Kisco policy & procedure standards. Promote open communication with and between the home office and other KSL communities at all levels. Manage and improve resident and family satisfaction and loyalty using a variety of listening and learning methods, process improvement, and the anticipation of and responsiveness to needs and concerns. Ensures Wellness programming standards across all levels of living to engage residents and associates in meaningful and relevant programs to support the Art of Living WellSM into all aspects of the community. Drive adoption of Kisco's software systems, resources and tools. Responsible to identify, benchmark and leverage best practices in the industry. Monitor residents' well-being in a general way and report any changes in condition to the appropriate associate/department immediately. Understand and support the community sales process. Perform other related duties as required.
