Commissions Analyst   The Sales Compensation Commission Business Analyst position at VMware is a key role in the Worldwide Sales Compensation Finance team. The candidate will work closely with internal data providers, Compensation Analyst/Managers, Sales, and Finance teams. This role is responsible, for analyzing data, identifying reporting deltas through a variety of reporting sources, as well as analyzing, reviewing and reporting out on procedural process improvements to support commission payouts. The Commissions Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between internal partners such as: Sales, IT, Testing, Financial Reporting, HR and within the commission team. In addition, during the IBM Cognos (Varicent) projects deployment cycles the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, IT developers to ensure a successful Production code migration for delivery of key enhancements and hotfixes reporting to the Finance Business Systems Manager.   Responsibilities: ·         Researching and responding to Sales Reps inquiries and exception requests regarding commission statements in an accurate and timely manner to our sales staff. ·         Administer and deploy Commissions Plans, working with the internal Commissions Finance team ·         Perform accurate and detailed audit of commission statements and maintain the records in accordance with individual compensation plan requirements. ·         Maintain commission systems to ensure output accuracy based on database analyses.  ·         Report out on reporting needs as determined by sales and support team. ·         Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process relating to commissions. ·         Execute ad hoc analysis and projects as needed for management decision making. ·         Perform other duties as required to support the Commissions team. ·         Assist with Business UAT projects as required. Co-ordinate with different internal groups like IT/Bookings/ Business Users/Analysts. ·         Drive processes to ensure data integrity, system accuracy, and strong change controls ·         Perform functional, aesthetic, accessibility, and performance testing Experience and Education: ·         Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, HR, or equivalent related work experience ·         Experience with IBM Cognos (Varicent) or Sales Compensation software applications ·         Knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection techniques and testing procedures ·         Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of people ·         Enthusiasm to work in a fast-paced and dynamically changing environment ·         Thorough knowledge of sales compensation design and program execution ·         Strong problem solving, organization, and process management skills ·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills **Please note this is a 12 Month Contract role**
