Description

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the payments function, ensuring that all manual and electronic input into the accounts payable system are up to date, accurate and meet or exceed targets
  • Manage the accounts payable function to ensure that accurate and timely payments are made
  • Supervise invoice processing and all automated input into the accounts payable system
  • Oversee all payments to suppliers, including cheques, BACs, manual cheques, standing orders , direct debits making payments as required
  • Set up and maintain appropriate KPI's to manage and report operational performance of the P2P process across the business
  • Establish and maintain effective controls over payment runs to suppliers, including BACs, faster payments,
  • Government payments, standing orders and direct debits
  • Oversee the reconciliation of the accounts payable control accounts
  • Establish, manage and control the system of making regular payments to landlords and submission of returns to the Inland Revenue within the required time lines

Accounts Payable Manager Requirements:

  • Extensive Accounts Payable management experience
  • Confidence managing and driving a difficult team
  • Experience developing motivated supervisors
  • Experience motivating a driving a large accounts payable team
  • Experience driving KPI's and targets
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ambitious and keen to progress within a large organisation
