The Financial Accountant role reports into the Assistant Director of Finance and has effective oversight of the Financial Accounting team. The role will be responsible for a team of two to facilitate the delivery of the statutory accounts.

Client Details

The organisation is a social housing provider that has just recently launched a major redevelopment scheme. The organisation is a key developer in the London area but puts the communities it works with at the heart of its organisation.

Description

The Financial Accountant would have the following responsibilities:

  • Leading the production of the Group's annual statutory accounts and oversight of the preparation of the subsidiary statutory accounts. Be the main contact point for the organisations external auditors.
  • Management and development of the Financial Accounting team.
  • Responsibility for ensuring all relevant taxes are identified and accurately processed including VAT, Gift Aid and Corporation tax.
  • Manage cash flow and treasury management monitoring processes through efficient credit control and payment process and oversight of treasury activities.

Profile

The Financial Accountant will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical experience and a track record of managing a team. Alongside this you will have first rate technical skills and the ability to produce Group annual statutory accounts. You will also need to have experience of VAT, tax and FRS102.

Strong team management experience is essential to this role and specifically, managing and developing a management information team through a period of change.

Job Offer

£49,000-55,000
