Financial Accountant

The Company

Robert Half are recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a FTSE 250 business based in central Leeds. The role is initially for 6 months but has the potential to last longer.



The Role

The Financial Accountant is a central role within the Finance team responsible for internal and external financial reporting and financial compliance based at the company head office in central Leeds.


Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of accurate month end financial statements on a timely basis with variance analysis for Financial Controller's review
• Assist Financial Controller in preparing weekly cash forecasts by updating key data on a daily basis and providing support during annual budget process
• Preparation of annual statutory financial statements and supporting schedules for the auditors, quarterly VAT returns and other HMRC tax compliance and regulatory / external compliance reports
• Support the Financial Controller in preparation of internal financial information and KPIs as needed by the business and other reports and /or financial information required by third parties on a regular basis
• Ensure strong internal control processes are adhered to minimise risk, improve efficiency and maximise business performance
• Establish strong working relationships across the business to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided to and/or obtained as and when required
• Ad hoc project work, budget forecasting and financial analysis as required to support the Financial Controller and CFO

Salary & Benefits
