Description
The Completion Accountant will be responsible for:
- Updating the completion accounts tracker on a daily basis
- Ensuring timely delivery of reports and other information to Hazlewoods
- Responding promptly to queries from Hazlewoods and internal teams
- Reviewing completion accounts and apportionment statement drafts, responding with queries and approving the accounts for final sign-off by the FIM
- Ensuring that all relevant paperwork and correspondence is filed promptly
- Checking, creating and posting all completion accounts journals into Open Accounts
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations once journals have been loaded
- Any other tasks as required
Profile
The ideal candidate:
Essential:
- Passed finalist or in final stages of a professional accounting qualification (ACCA or similar)
- 2 year's experience in a commercial environment
- Strong technical understanding of balance sheets and financial statements
- Thrives in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment - flexibility is key
- Able to demonstrate strong communication and influencing skills with a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent IT skills including advanced Excel, and confident on various management reporting systems
- Strong attention to detail, and able to deliver right-first-time results quickly
- Deadline focused, and willing to put in the effort required to ensure they always meet them
- Understanding of small companies and how they work
- Meticulous organisation skills
Desirable:
- First time qualification passes
- Experience of OpenAccounts would be an advantage
- Experience in acquisitions accounting
