AR Assistant Accountant role based in Milton Keynes with parking on site for this 12 month maternity cover contract with a strong possibility based on performance of progressing into a permanent role with the company passionate about keeping their talent. Description

AR Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract duties and responsibilities;

  • Advise internal stakeholders on the Accounts Receivable process
  • Fixed asset processing
  • Assist in implementing process improvements and updates.
  • Responsible for Credit control
  • Liaising with European offices, customers and internal managers
  • Issue resolution
  • Direct debit management
  • Statement reconciliations
  • Assist short term cash flow planning (inflow and outflow) and associated reporting internally and to European Group head office
  • Inter-company account reconciliation (including GRNI) and issue resolution in accordance with all group polices and guidelines

    • Profile

    AR Assistant Accountant - 12 month contract Skills, Knowledge & Experience required;

    • 6 months minimum in an accounting or credit/receivables focused position
    • Eagerness to learn
    • Actively studying towards associated professional financial qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
    • Highly organised and self-motivated with excellent communication skills
    • SAP Systems experience preferred but non essential
    • European language skills advantageous
    • Able to consider the wider business impact of process and system changes and a basic understanding of accounting principles and treasury processes
    • Ability to see big picture and wider business impact of own role, hands on approach to set up processes and tasks for new legal entity, affinity to embrace change
