Group Finance Director

The Group Finance Director will be a key member of the senior management team and the lead contact in finance for the wider organisation. The ideal candidate will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience in pitching for and being rewarded government grants and funding.

Based outside Witney, my client is a government funded organisation experiencing a period of growth.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Group Finance Director will be:

• To oversee the financial and commercial functions
• Take the lead on pitching and winning government funding and negotiating terms
• Take an active role in developing and driving the strategic focus of the organisation alongside the other members of the senior management team
• Be responsible for the implementation of incentives surrounding key financial deliverables
• Leadership of a large finance team with more than 5 direct reports
• Build and maintain good relations with both internal and external senior management executives

Profile

The successful candidate for the Group Finance Director will be:

• Qualified - ACA preferable
• Demonstrable experience of leading at board level
• Able to lead commercial bids for government funding (UK/EU)
• A high attention to detail
• Demonstrable management experience
• An understanding of the wider issues currently surrounding government funded organisations
