Job Responsibilities

The Regulatory Accountant will be part of the team responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting to the FCA, NFA, DFSA and CFTC and will work closely with Compliance, Risk and Treasury. The role is part of a team of four, reporting into the Regulatory Reporting Manager

Specifically, the individual will:

—Work with the other regulatory accountants to produce quarterly COREP returns for the 12 UK regulated entities, ensuring disclosure is timely, current and high quality

—Work with the other regulatory accountants to ensure all other UK reporting deadlines are met e.g. monthly Client Money and Assets return, quarterly balance sheet and income statements, High Earners returns

—Work with the other regulatory accountants to ensure all reporting deadlines for US, Dubai and Frankfurt regulated entities in the UK are met; monthly NFA returns and quarterly CFTC returns, quarterly DFSA return and quarterly BAFIN returns

—Prepare monthly liquidity calculations, working with the Treasury team

—Prepare the daily client money reconciliation and ensure client money procedures are up to date

—Responsible for daily monitoring of structured trades and capital adequacy for NFA reporting

—Assist with integration work, harmonising reporting and ensuring all new and amended processes are fully documented

—Assist with various audit queries with regards to NFA and CASS audits

—Help to build, maintain and develop relationship with external advisors, the business, and other Group functions on regulatory capital issues

Ideal Candidate

Technical Skills:

—Preferably would have general knowledge of capital requirements as they relate to IFPRU limited activity and limited licence investment firms

—Strong understanding of financial statement concepts and principles

—Experience of Oracle Financials, Hyperion (HFM and Essbase)

—Skilled in Microsoft applications software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)

Qualifications and Experience:

—Qualified accountant

—Demonstrate proven experience in the Finance Services industry
