  • This role is a chance to support the oversight of the Natwest Markets Financial Crime Anti-Bribery & Corruption (ABC) risk and control framework, from front to back

What you'll do

This role will see you working closely with the NatWest Markets Head of Financial Crime Framework, ABC Officer and Director of Financial Crime. You'll have an important part to play supporting and maintaining a strong financial crime ABC risk and control framework for NatWest Markets. You'll be contributing to risk based ABC decisions and approvals, and managing and monitoring the ABC mailbox, responding to business queries and influencing to make sure we stay in line with policy requirements.

Your responsibilities in the role will include:
  • Helping to establish an appropriate MI process to collect and report on issues, risks and other relevant information required by the financial crime policy
  • Supporting the implementation new tax evasion controls which are compliant with bank policy
  • Collaborating with a range of functions - including the business, NatWest Markets Risk, Conduct and Operations, and RBS Risk and Services - to streamline the ABC framework
  • Contributing to the delivery of NatWest Markets specific requirements for ABC risk assessment and FCA returns
  • Working to continuously improve our ABC framework and procedures

The skills you'll need

This role is suitable for someone with experience of the banking industry and a detailed understanding of the regulatory and commercial environment we operate in, particularly as it relates to regulatory requirements. You'll need proven experience of using data management and analysis plus the ability to develop, document, and maintain clear Financial Crime Framework Controls.

You'll also need:
  • Strong understanding of Financial Crime Policy and controls framework
  • Excellent relationship management skills across various stakeholders
  • An ability to interact and foster collaboration and aligned ways of working across organisation boundaries and geographies
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
