To support our success we are currently seeking a Retail Advice Governance Specialist to join the Advice & Retail Distribution team in our Brisbane head office. About the Role... In this newly created role, you will be responsible for ensuring Sunsuper delivers high quality governance and due diligence in relation to our Retail Distribution Strategy. Specifically, you will have oversight of, and will administer, the retail advice fees process and due diligence and oversight over the registration and deregistration of advisers with Sunsuper. You will support the Trustees to manage and reduce the risks associated with the retail advice strategy. A key part of the role will be overseeing the Sole Purpose Test determination on behalf of the Trustees to ensure compliance with these requirements. You will also be required to establish, review, and manage all documentation in relation to this strategy. In this role you will be responsible for: Develop, maintain and implement governance documentation in relation to retail advice as it relates to the management of the advice fee processes. Facilitate working groups such as the Advice Fee Working Group to ensure compliance with the policies and procedures regarding retail distribution. This will include maintaining accurate and timely records (minutes) of all meetings and decisions. Facilitate decisions around registration and deregistration with Sunsuper of retail advisers. This will require liaising with various stakeholders across the business as well as communication with advisers and licensees. Develop and maintain good working relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally in relation to retail adviser governance. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Analyse fee requests to interpret trends and insights which can then be used to develop broader strategies, processes and procedures. Develop reporting to assist with the analysis required. Investigate fees above tolerance limits, engage with BDM’s for intelligence and obtain from advisers appropriate evidence to enable Advice Fee Working Group to make decisions on fee payments. Maintain accurate and timely records of all documents in a central repository. About You... To ensure success you will possess: Understanding of the Sole Purpose Test and how it applies to product providers. Experience in customer contact, strategy or business development in financial services. Demonstrated understanding and experience of the financial advice process. Excellent attention to detail and record keeping ability. Experience in the governance and due diligence of financial advice. How to Apply...
