Christian Aid Ireland's work is only possible because of the financial support we receive from a wide variety of sources.   By helping to ensure that our finances are properly recorded and controlled, you will be helping to maximise our resources to lift individuals and communities around the world out of poverty.   About the role Working as part of the Finance Team based in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, the role is required to: record income and expenditure in the finance systems, in an accurate and timely manner; process payments to suppliers & implementing partners; perform month end reconciliations for appropriate control accounts (including bank reconciliations) & follow up to clear any reconciling items; perform the processing of payroll function for the Dublin office.   About you The following is Essential Qualified Accounting Technician or part-qualified accountant (at qualified accounting technician level or higher) Demonstrable Payroll Experience within the last 5 years Demonstrable experience of processing income and expenditure transactions, and journals on computerised accounting system Demonstrable experience of preparing control account reconciliations (For example reconciliations any of the of the following: bank, debtors, creditors or intercompany) Experience of using basic functions of Microsoft Excel Excellent communication skills   The Following is desirable Experience of Sage Payroll Charity Experience Experience in using any of our financial systems (such as SUN, Proactis or Ascent)   Further information This role requires applicants to have the right to work in the country where this position is based.
