Global Indemnity Ltd. (NASDAQ: GBLI),a $2 billion, publicly traded property and casualty insurance holding company domiciledin the Cayman Islands, is seeking an Accounting/Finance Major to work part time in the Internal Audit Department onvarious financial, operational and IT audits, as well as other special projectsincluding using audit software to develop continuous fraud monitoring scripts,fraud investigation testing, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control testing tocertify key controls are operating effectively. The candidate willwork under the direction of the Company's financial and IT auditors, and will gain valuable audit expertise and get exposure to theexternal auditors. This exposure has led to the placement of many co-ops andinterns with the external audit firm after graduation. We are looking for the candidate to work atleast 10 hours per week, between September 2018 and March 2019. Theposition will be located at: American Reliable Insurance Company, 8655 E. We assist GBLI in reducing operating costs and increasing revenuethrough recommendations for operating improvements as a result of auditfindings. We will also conduct specialprojects designed to enhance value for senior management. In addition, GBLI's Internal Audit Departmentis responsible for the oversight of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) control documentationand testing throughout the organization.
