GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY Provides leadership, guidance, coaching and mentoring to the Review Unit staff in order to deliver timely review of documentation and system maintenance. Responsible for the daily operations of the Review Unit by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Manages daily unit operations. Develops, implements and maintains various processes to monitor the integrity of deposit account and customer information data entered into the bank's systems. Ensures records submitted by branches and departments are completed in accordance with bank policy and procedures. Communicates with and notifies branch and department supervisors of errors. Tracks regulatory violations and procedural errors for management evaluation. Reports regulatory violations relating to BSA/AML, Reg. CC, Wire Transfers, etc., to the Chief Compliance Officer. Assists in developing; and, implements and monitors the controls over inactive and dormant account data. Investigates and responds to branch inquiries regarding inactive and dormant accounts. Monitors TIN compliance to ensure the bank complies with applicable laws, including but not limited to B Notices and C Notices. Assists in the development and implements storage systems for centralized records to minimize the bank's retrieval and destruction efforts. Analyzes current processes and procedures, makes recommendations for modification and implements new procedures. Participate on project teams and hosts training sessions for bank staff as needed. Stays abreast of pertinent banking regulations, including but not limited to Reg DD, Reg CC, Reg E, Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering, Financial Right to Privacy Act, FDIC Insurance provisions, TIN Compliance, E-Sign, OFAC, Identify Theft Protection/Red Flags, Reg O. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the Review Unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and making recommendations regarding the hiring and terminating of employees. Job Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum: Bachelor's degree in business related field and four years of progressively responsible bank operations experience including two years lead or supervisory experience; or five years progressively responsible bank operations experience including two years lead or supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Familiarity with banking regulations. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in business related field and five years of progressively responsible bank operations experience including two years supervisory experience; or six years progressively responsible bank operations experience including two years supervisory experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Working knowledge of First National Bank Alaska deposit products and procedures, with three years First National Bank Alaska branch customer service experience. Strong overall knowledge of banking operations and regulations. Ability to lead and coach staff to ensure excellent customer service, efficient operations and adherence to policies and procedures. Hands-on manager who is willing and able to model desired behavior. SKILLS and ABILITIES: Word processing, spreadsheet and Outlook software experience required. Ability to handle highly confidential information, frequent deadlines, and work effectively under time constraints required. Ability to perform well under pressure required. Database and presentation software experience preferred. Ability to keyboard 45 wpm preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING SKILLS: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and make decisions based on those conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, and REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver's license and provide a current copy of an Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles Report (MVR) evidencing a good driving record.
