Start a career with First National Bank Alaska, voted Best Place to Work in Alaska - 2016 and 2017 by Alaska Business Monthly magazine readers GENERAL PURPOSE SUMMARY: Accepts and approves new escrow application packages with limited supervision, ensures compliance with government regulations and established policies and procedures; assists promoting bank's escrow services in the community by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Reviews escrow application packages to ensure regulatory compliance and that documentation is accurate and complete; accepts or rejects package within granted level of authority or recommends accepting or denying. Compares and reviews instructions and documents to ensure repayment terms conform to escrow applications, instructions and exhibits. Consults with prospective customers, identifies and analyzes customers' needs, and determines and provides appropriate forms, instructions, and exhibits for new escrow accounts. Proposes repayment term customizations, within granted level of authority, after assessing escrow system capabilities and acceptable risk. Works with industry professionals to finalize customized escrow instructions and exhibits and to set up new escrow accounts. Assists with business development and related industry relations efforts. Develops and conducts escrow training programs on escrow application packages including forms, instructions, and exhibits for bank operations and lending personnel and for industry professionals such as title companies, realtors, medical professionals and attorneys. Performs other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor. Job Requirements QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum: Four years title company, lending, real estate, escrow or related experience; or equivalent combination of education/training and experience. Preferred: Sales experience, paralegal coursework, and familiarity with real estate paperwork and regulations. SKILLS and ABILITIES: Ability to keyboard 35 wpm and operate a 10-key calculator required; word processing and spreadsheet software experience required. Presentation software experience preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, and REGISTRATIONS: Must possess and maintain a valid State of Alaska driver's license and provide a current copy of an Alaska Department of Motor Vehicles Report (MVR) evidencing a good driving record.
