Capital One's Enterprise Risk Management Team has responsibility for helping the overall organization identify, manage, and mitigate key risks that may keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives. ERM is currently hiring for a Sr. Risk Manager who will be responsible for managing the implementation management office for a large, high profile initiative. This will be a critical role with high visibility with senior leadership across the enterprise. The role requires the ability to develop and manage project plans, revising as needed to meet changing needs and requirements; leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent; maintain key project and process documentation and manage risks / issues as appropriate; and effectively communicate to ensure delivery. The role also requires strong influence skills to effectively drive project/process efforts. This individual should have a proven track record of strong project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work in a dynamic complex environment. In addition, very strong communication and partnership skills are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform, and influence outcomes. General Responsibilities: Managing a complex, enterprise-wide integration office Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements Ensuring projects are being documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans and deliverables meet intent Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project / program efforts Demonstrating excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Military experience At least 3 years of Project Management experience At least 2 years of Risk Management experience At least 3 years of experience working with internal business customers Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification At least 4 years of Project Management experience At least 3 years of Risk Management experience At least 2 years of Corporate Governance or Change Management experience At least 2 years of experience interacting with and influencing senior leadership At least 2 years of experience developing presentations to influence senior audiences At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
