Carnegie Consulting is delighted to be the exclusive recruiter for this exciting role. Our client is a leading UK investment manager with its head office in central London. With over £20bn in AUM, this firm is a significant player in its space and continues to grow and prosper. A highly experienced Group Financial Controller is sought to manage the overall Financial Control function. This role will have 5 direct reports and itself reports directly to the Group CFO.
The Role:
- Lead the Financial Control function with responsibility for Finance Operations, Financial Reporting, Capital Management, Tax and the Control Environment
- Overall purpose is to deliver the CFO's strategy through the reporting lines
- This role will have a significant Change element to it, involving regular review and change of systems and processes
- Managing the implementation of robust Financial Controls and procedures
- Managing a team of highly experienced technicians and working closely with them to help them grow and develop, both professionally and personally
- Day-to-day responsibilities includes the management and oversight of all Financial Operations, including AR, AP Expenses, Cash Management and Ledgers
- Overseeing the production of statutory accounts for all Group companies
- Production of the Group Budget
- Responsibility for the preparation of the Annual Report, including the consolidated reporting of the Group companies

Requirements:
- You will be a highly experienced Finance professional, a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- A proven track record of leading and managing teams, across different locations
- You must have relevant and significant experience working in a regulated Financial Services business (Insurance and Investment Management most likely)
- Possess excellent knowledge of UK statutory reporting requirements
- Demonstrable ability to influence and manage change
- Possess excellent, all-round, communication skills
- Have strong commercial acumen, be highly analytical and be a positive thinker
