G.D.I Distributors (2012) Ltd, a distribution company located at Temple Hall Estate, Kingston 9 is seeking to recruit a competent inventory clerk. The ideal candidate will have primary responsibility to oversee and manage all inventory related functions. Job Description • Responsible for all receiving and inventory control functions • Analyse inventory discrepancies and correct to ensure alignment between our inventory system and physical inventory • Identify root cause/s of inventory discrepancies, communicate the cause/s to management and implement corrective action plans • Verify incoming shipments against invoices and packing lists to ensure all items are received and in saleable condition • Manage and oversee all inventory adjustments related to product returns, product transfers, damaged products etc • Perform monthly reconciliations and annual physical inventory count processes • Ensure inventory accuracy by implementing successful cycle-counting process • Focus on continuous improvement Job Requirements Experience • A minimum of 2 years experience in inventory management, accounting and administrative principles and practices Education • Associate degree and/or above in a business-related field Skills: • Strong leadership, relationship building and communication skills • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and QuickBooks software • Ability to work independently on multiple assignments • Required to meet deadlines and work within strict deadlines • Analytical thinking and problem solving • Planning and organising *Submit a passport sized photo and a valid police certificate of character with the application Only candidates who apply before October 12th, 2018 will be considered Only suitable applications will be acknowledged.
