The Senior Revenue Accountant is responsible for:

Building strong relationships with the client services team and wider business in order to understand and best meet the rebate requirements of customers and stakeholders.

Owning the end to end rebate control framework and ensuring all controls have been completed, documented and reviewed appropriately.

Working with the outsourced transfer agency service provider in order to oversee rebate calculations, control checks, payments and reconciliations, and commercial agreement maintenance.

Ensuring all rebate payments to external customers are processed in a timely and accurate manner.

Meeting all assigned statutory and management revenue reporting requirements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, and supporting internal and external audit requirements as part of the financial reporting team.

Working closely with other financial reporting team members to ensure entity management accounts are completed accurately and timely, with value added commentary and analysis as standard.

Full balance sheet reconciliations, including balance sheet management to a clean position with strong ageing analysis and risk management.

Ensure compliance with CASS regulation in line with the firms CASS Policy, including oversight of the CMAR returns and maintenance of the CASS Resolution Pack

Supporting the MI team in business case analysis, business planning and client profitability analysis from time to time, including updating specific revenue grids and slides, and assisting with preparation of desk profitability and commentary as required.

Supporting the wider business in commercial arrangement implementation, systems development, change management and project work including fund launches.

Ensuring all processes and procedures are fully documented and adhered to

To ensure that key risks are escalated and controlled in order to minimise financial misstatement and ensure a robust risk aware environment. Ensure that all a robust control environment is maintained aligned to FCI principles to minimise financial misstatement risk. Evidence of all key controls in operation should be maintained.

Supporting the Financial Controller, Head of Finance and CFO as required.

To maintain up to date with mandatory computer based training requirements and meet your professional qualification learning requirements.

To maintain confidentially over any financial or sensitive data

Cross training staff on critical tasks

  • Qualified accountant with PQE - member ACCA, CIMA or ACA or equivalent experience

Specific technical competencies

  • Highly competent in Excel
  • General ledger systems experience
  • Proven experience in workflow process improvement
  • Proven experience in developing and producing effective monthly management reporting packs
  • Proven experience in building stakeholder relationships outside of Finance
  • Knowledge of investment management revenue and rebates arrangements
  • Depth and breadth of experience within a similar reporting environment
  • Asset management experience preferred
  • Financial Services experience essential
