Our client are a leading investment manager that have hedge fund and private equity strategies. Managing several billion, the firm hold a long-term, impressive track record in the equities, private equity, credit and fixed income space. They are a very entrepreneurial firm that looks across anything throughout the capital structure. Having recently completed an asset raise for a new fund, this is an exciting time to join a growing firm, with future growth opportunities, as the fund continues to look at new, diversified fund launches.

It is a lean workforce operating in a variety of strategies, making it a very interesting place to work, with the multi-strategy nature of the firm offering the opportunity to become a genuine cross-product expert.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the role has a broad remit, offering the opportunity to build out the role and cover a broader remit, once you have established yourself at the firm. This offers the exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a fund in a variety of ways.

Directly shadowing the CFO, the hire will have the opportunity to be trained by him, with a view to assuming some of his responsibilities long term. Beyond this, the hire will have a close association with the COO - providing operational transactional support, and face off with the Head Trader and trading team.

They are looking for a fund accountant or fund administrator with experience across private equity, hedge funds of credit. They would consider somebody part-qualified if particularly strong but the ideal profile is newly qualified - 2 years post-qualified. It's a dynamic and fast paced environment where you will be surrounded by some of the best in the business. You must be a confident self-starter with a history of academic achievement.

Compensation is excellent, with market leading bonuses, between 50-80%

Requirements

  • Strong academics (2.1 degree or above)
  • Studying or completed an accountancy qualification
  • Fund administration of fund accounting experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Enthusiastic self-starter
