A large financial services group


As Head of Group Planning you will be responsible for;

  • Building and running the planning program, including the definition of the target operating model, the coordination of the different stakeholders and the progress update to senior management.
  • Providing robust review of Business Unit, with respect to P&L and Balance sheet consequences, highlighting key risks to other areas of the planning framework, ensuring consistency of impact
  • Preparing MI in a succinct, clear but comprehensive manner distilling key messages to senior management
  • Destining actions to address shortfalls to target and articulate key challenges in order for businesses to address and optimise the plan
  • Reviewing and understanding actual outcomes to ensure deviations from plan are understood and trends and associated impacts are known in advance of future planning cycles
  • Ensuring regulatory returns and requests for information are met in a controlled and timely manner
  • Managing a small team of senior VPs


As Head of Group Planning the ideal candidate will be;

  • Qualified accountant or MBA, or equivalent
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and performance management and improvement
  • Strong business/financial management and analysis skills
  • Demonstration of delivery of quality outputs to tight time frames
  • Ability to distil key messages to senior management and ability to present those to large audiences
