An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join an Architecture & Design firm based in central London.

My client specialises in designing and executing buildings on key sites in London and internationally. Key projects cover a range of sectors, varying from small bespoke fit-outs to large-scale urban grand designs.

Description

This position will report directly to the CFO and be responsible for the following:

• Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues - this will include corporation tax, PAYE, VAT and personal tax issues.
• Monthly Balance sheet review
• Controlling banking and payments
• Credit Control and Debtor Ledger Maintenance and management of the team
• Liaise and work closely with the auditors/advisors on the preparation of statutory financial accounts and tax returns
• Managing working capital within the business
• Prepare regular reports
• Review, analyse and report on monthly management accounts
• Evaluating business proposals and opportunities
• Reviewing company internal controls
• Implement annual budgeting process
• Processing and submission of Payroll payments and pension payments.
• Prepare VAT returns and deal with VAT applications
• Adhere to compliance processes, policies and procedures and report any breaches, significant control weaknesses and exposure to fraud.

Profile

• 
  
•  A competent SAGE 200 user with advanced Excel skills.
• Has a recognised accounting qualification - ACA/ACCA/CIMA
•  Prior experience of Property Management
•  Ability to build rapport quickly with all personnel
•  Detailed background of working on variety of project sizes, large regeneration projects
•  Commercially minded. Creativity in terms of cost efficiency is necessary.
•  Diligent and analytic with strong attention to detail
•  Problem solver and a sound decision maker
•  Excellent communicator
