Description

  • To participate in the ICG DEPOSITS Revenue and Balance Sheet Team, part of the Asia Regional Franchise team covering Asia ICG DEPOSITS related topics, with specific focus on Retail Bank products.
  • The ICG DEPOSITS Revenue and Balance Sheet team lead will play a central role in coordinating for key Citi deliverables, including key Forward Looking and Performance Management deliverables across the Asia Consumer Businesses including but not limited to
  • Analysis and review of financial performance, especially drivers, trends, and the competitive environment, to enhance understanding thereof on the part of management, regulators and shareholders
  • Insightful analysis as the foundation for strategic decision-making, resource allocation and performance management
  • Tools, analytical capability and data to support thoughtful planning and target setting, as well as to drive business initiatives
  • The means by which the businesses both implement and measure the impact of those decisions and targets, and identify and implement course corrections
  • The team will work with other Regional and Country Consumer FP&A teams to develop standard and centralized analytics for ICG DEPOSITS and its different businesses, helping senior management within Finance and the business in interpreting business performance against targets and business dynamics given macroeconomic and markets factors.
  • The candidate should have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing effective support models for the FP&A Business Partners
  • Standardizing and centralizing key forecasting and performance management processes including but not limited to Standard Management Reporting, Outlook, Planning, Mid Year Forecast etc.
  • Effective collaborating with other Revenue, Expense, and Long-term Planning Workstreams
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting - Pro-actively analysing, investigating, escalating and explaining key movements and trends to Senior Management and FP&A Business Partners
  • Analysis and explanation of key movements and trends in Business P&L, Balance Sheet, efficiency and return metrics; including linkage with business drivers and client trends
  • Productivity - Work in partnership across Finance and with the Business to understand and improve efficiency and returns particularly NIM, RoA and RoTCE. Partner with Finance and Business to drive execution
  • Developing / Coordinating comprehensive management information for business, leveraging Insight and driving enhancements as required. Produce and distribute consistent analytics across loans, deposits, fees, and trading, to the Product FPA teams and businesses
  • Assessment of Market and Competitive Environment in partnership with FPA Business Partners including competitive benchmarking, macroeconomic/environment assessment, market share analysis/wallet sizing, and understanding trends in client revenue, volume and deal pipeline as appropriate
  • Strengthening comprehensive deposits and balance sheet analysis. Prudently optimizing the resource allocation to enhance return
  • Leading the delivery of ICG FP&A activities that are common across businesses for Revenue and Balance Sheet analytics including; planning, performance and returns
  • Forward Looking - Managing Revenue and Balance Sheet in the Integrated Capital Planning Processes for AXJ (inc. Outlook)
  • Develop and coordinate deliverables to global and in region partners for Plan, MYF, and Outlook
  • Working with the FPA Business Partners in driving Business-specific aspects of the Integrated Capital Planning process, including coordinating business engagement for CCAR.
  • Participate in strategic exercises for AXJ ICG working closely with Business including ad-hoc analysis and reporting
  • Review and provide guidance around Plan functionals
  • Coordination and preparation of presentation material and talking points for internal or external meetings including but not limited to Earnings, CEO and CFO reviews, Plan Reviews
  • Support the APAC Regional Franchise FPA team in developing management information materials for Senior Management
  • Develop deep understanding of Asia ICG DEPOSITS and utilize the knowledge to consolidate and simplify key FP&A processes
  • Proactively engaging and interfacing across Businesses, Finance, and other relevant functional departments to leverage information and streamline processes to drive performance
