Senior Manager, Financial Control - Global Markets (Trading)
  • $150,000k - $170,000k + super
  • ASX listed global bank
  • Sydney CBD

Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global banking group in their global markets (trading) division as a Senior Manager, Financial Control. In this role, you will advise the business unit and its' CFO on the financial implications of new products, transactions and accounting changes as well as identifying opportunities to optimise balance sheet usage and ultimately maximise financial returns.

Key responsibilities:
  • Assess the impacts of new accounting standards, products and transactions and make appropriate recommendations to the business.
  • Advise the business unit and its' CFO
  • Assist in performing periodic product and business reviews to ensure that returns are understood.
  • Identify opportunities for additional operational or balance sheet efficiencies
  • Ensure processes and controls are well designed and are operating effectively.

Requirements:
  • Strong financial reporting background in banking (preferably in global markets/investment banking/trading finance)
  • Product control/Financial control experience highly relevant
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • CA/CPA Qualified
