Job Title: Financial Accountant Salary: €DOE + Benefits + Bonus Location: Dublin   Role:   Our client is now seeking Financial Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will support Dublin Finance function's reporting requirements, both internal and external. He/she will be responsible for populating the financial reporting schedules and validating the integrity of the data being reported.   Role Responsibilities: ·         Preparing the monthly financial reporting schedules for inclusion monthly financial reporting pack ·         Will prepare initial variance analysis ·         Obtain explanations for key variances identified in financial review process. ·         Quarterly and annual financial quarterly reporting templates ·         Prepare expense reports for Head Office cost centres and obtain explanations for variances ·         Prepare schedules for the annual financial statements; bi annual vat return; quarterly retro settlements ·         Reconcile and calculate settlement of intercompany balances ·         Prepare and post head office journals which includes grossing of debtors and creditors, and tax allocation journals ·         Will support the Accounts Payable team ·         Gather and prepare information for the Central Statistic's Office annual return. ·         Prepare quarterly financial risk schedules ·         Carry out any ADHOC tasks as required.     Skills and Experience Required ·         Must be a newly qualified accountant (ACCA) with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience ·         Part qualified candidate will also be considered ·         Experience in the insurance industry advantageous ·         Must have advanced Microsoft Excel skills ·         Ability to work to deadlines ·         Excellent numeracy skills. ·         Must be meticulous with an investigative nature ·         Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize ·         Ability to reconcile the consistency of information between a variety of systems. ·         Knowledge of the life insurance industry ·         Big 4 or large Company accountancy experience preferable. ·         Knowledge of SOX and COSO2013 framework desirable.   For more information please call Lorna on 01 2788610 or send your CV in confidence through the link.     Two Heads Are Always Better Than One!  - Introduce a friend to Recruitment Plus and claim your reward!  We are always eager to meet new talent and assist them in their job search.  Refer a friend and let us assist them in their next career move - and claim your reward for the introduction!
