My client is looking to hire a progressive Financial Accountant to join their small Finance team based in Luton.

An opportunity has arisen within their Finance team due to an internal promotion.

Description

The Financial Accountant's responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of Management Accounts:
• Review and preparation of Profit & Loss, balance Sheet and Cashflow for all UK companies on a monthly basis by agreed timetable.
• Assist the team to complete and deliver month end and year end reports/processes in an accurate and of high quality.
• Oversight of all periodic reconciliations ensuring all are completed within an agreed timetable. All reconciling items are required to take appropriate actions in a timely manner.
• Assist Group Finance manager with the periodic end close of all companies
• Develop and prepare cashflow forecasts at UK and group levels
• Regulatory reporting: Ensure all regulatory reports are submitted promptly : VAT Return, Intrastat, national Statistic, annual audits etc
• Ensure that transactions are complied with all aspects of input and output vat regulations.
• Support Group Finance Manager on the preparation of budgets, forecasts, analysis reports and ad-hoc tasks.

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant will have:

• Strong technical knowledge around month end procedures and regulatory reporting

• Experience of working with an ERP accounting system

Job Offer

The successful Financial Accountant can be expected to earn between £28,000 and £32,000 dependent upon experience and qualification.
