Finance Assistant

A key client of our at Page are looking to expand their finance team through recruiting a new Finance Assistant. The company specialise in the latest technology involving logistics and transportation - The successful applicant will be given full study support and a mapped career path. The role would suit a candidate who has recently completed their A-Levels looking to for their first step into the finance industry not a University graduate.

The client specialise in the latest technology within the logistics and transportation industry.

Description

A successful candidate will be given duties which include:

• Bookkeeping

• Posting of bank transactions (high volume)

• Supplier invoice audit and posting (high volume)

• Ledgers reconciliation

• Petty cash management

• Reporting

• Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly reports

• Support with the preparation of the management accounts

• Support with the preparation of the statutory audit documentation

• Preparation and filing of tax documentation

• General administration and document management

• Ad hoc tasks including cheque deposits, cash withdrawal and cost reviews

Profile

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate all of the following attributes:

• Attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to process large volume of work while also pursuing commercial opportunities

• Identifying errors or trends

• Process improvements

• Cost savings

• Strong numerical and analytical abilities

• Excellent communication (written / verbal) skills

• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Offer

A successful candidate will be offered:

£18,000 - £22,000
