The role is for an individual with experience working in the travel industry, that holds experience working in a similar role. The job itself poses the opportunity to get involved in Accounts payable, receivable and credit control.

Client Details

The client is a well established Travel company based in East London that specialises in providing business and personal travel arrangements to their clients.

Description

The key responsibilities include:

  • Administer files within our booking system
  • Process sales invoices
  • Reconcile vendors including credit cards
  • Receipt cards, cash/cheques and manage online banking including online payments and transfers
  • Prepare regular vendor accounting reconciliations
  • Administer credit control/debt collection
  • Administer payment of bills, invoices and staff and volunteer expense claims
  • Ensure financial controls are adhered to
  • Assist in preparation of accounts
  • Improve controls for preparation, collection and reconciliation of bookings
  • Undertake any other duties as requested by the Financial Controller
  • Profile

    The successful candidate will have:

  • MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE USING A GDS SYSTEM - Amadeus, Worldspan, Dolphin or Sabre
  • Demonstrated experience of dealing with complex ledgers
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to self-motivate and work on own initiative
  • Good IT and system skills, particularly in Excel & MS Office Package
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Accounting reconciliations experience

    On offer to the candidate is:

    • A salary of up to £27k depending on experience
    • Full study support
    • 20 days holiday (increases by 1 per year of service up to 25 days)
    • Up to 10% quarterly bonus
