A leading mid-tier Investment Bank based in the City of London, who have strong links to sport, are seeking a newly / recently qualified accountant to join their business as a financial accountant. This organisation have a flat structure and meritocratic culture where you get significant exposure to all parts of the business and the opportunity to work on ad hoc tasks / projects outside of your BAU remit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Treasury, Trading, Investment and Lending desks within the Corporate Investment Bank division. This is an operational financial accounting role that will involve month-end accounting, financial analysis including commentary and variance analysis and preparation of annual & semi-annual financial statements for the division, which will then be consolidated by group. You will be responsible for developing robust relationships with other functions including but not limited too; product control, IT, projects, fp&a, group finance, operations and regulatory reporting teams.
In order to be successful you must be a newly / recently qualified accountant with an excellent academic record (minimum 2:1 degree and preference for First Time Passes). You are likely to have trained and qualified in a mid-tier accounting firm or to have worked in a financial accounting / equivalent role in industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a break into Investment Banking and for someone who likes to build relationships throughout a business.
