Job Description

The incumbent will work with a specialist team responsible for the preparation of the MAS Notice 637 and other reports for submission to the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Bank's senior management, as well as for quarterly disclosures.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the submission of accurate and complete MAS Notice 637 regulatory returns, public disclosures, and internal reports in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as prescribed timelines
  • Work with a team of high calibre subject matter experts who strive for excellent standards of professionalism and always practise the Bank's values
  • Build effective processes to track workflows and manage key risk areas; escalate issues for resolution
  • Maintain robust documentation for work processes
  • Initiate improvements to data workflow process with the primary objective of improving efficiency and quality of regulatory submissions
  • Assist function head in (i) assessing and implementing regulatory changes, including comments on consultation papers and submission of quantitative impact studies to MAS; (ii) supporting businesses as Subject Matter Expert on capital and RWA matters; (iii) participating and providing inputs for ICAAP/IWST
  • Address queries from the regulator, senior management and various business/support units, analyze capital supply and demand, implement projects and initiatives, support business initiatives, and work with various teams to drive required outcomes
  • Assist in correspondence with MAS, Group Audit and External Auditors on regulatory reporting matters

Qualification and Skills

  • A strong academic record, with at least 5 years of experience in the banking and finance sector
  • Good understanding of the regulatory capital framework (MAS Notice 637/Basel), accounting standards, the Bank's products and services
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills; aptitude for system related work
  • Able to lead a team and initiate work process improvements
  • Meticulous and organized, with a hands-on approach
