A Payroll and Expenses Manager will be responsible for the processing of all monthly salaries and wages and the reviewing and processing of monthly expense submissions.

My client is a leading sporting firm based in London.
Description
Key responsibilities include:
Payroll
- Responsibility for the collation and preparation of the monthly payroll.
- Responsibility for the collation and preparation of the monthly payroll
- Processing and payment of the casual staff payroll.
- Monthly calculation of PAYE/NI and apprenticeship levy for submission and payment to HMRC.
- Review payroll system and advise on process improvements
Expenses
- Reconciliation of submitted expense claims both out of pocket and corporate credit cards. Validate all claims for appropriate approval and required receipts for audit compliance.
- Ensure that all expenses are submitted in line with the staff expenses policy.
Other
- Assist with month-end close processes and timetable, preparing and posting journal entries and providing appropriate level review, analyses and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under your own initiative.
- To carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably required by the Finance and Operations Director.

The successful candidate should have:

- Computer literate and general office skills
- Passionate and well organised, with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and colleagues
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience of using Sage payroll software (essential).
