Hong Kong Legal Entity Controller - Associate

The Hong Kong Legal Entity Controller (LEC) Team's main objective is to ensure an effective financial control environment for the location exists. Responsibilities include Regulatory, Documentation and Reporting, Risks and Controls and Strategy.

The LEC Team interacts and collaborates with all lines of business present in Asia that have activity in that legal entity to ensure that legal entity implications (e.g., accounting policy, regulatory reporting, capital, etc.) of transactions are considered and with relevant stakeholders, including Product Controllers, Financial Controllers, Business Managers, Planning & Analysis, Corporate Tax, Operation, Legal & Compliance, Internal and External Audit.

Job Description

Job functions/responsibilities
  • Prepare financial and regulatory reports;
  • Coordinate and prepare materials for LEC's risk & control agenda;
  • Monitor and analyze business results at legal entity level;
  • Partner with line of business controllers and other teams for accurate and complete data for financial and regulatory reporting;
  • Maintain and enhance internal controls on report preparation processes;
  • Participate in user acceptance testing and other system testing as required;
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required.
Job Requirements
  • Accounting / Finance background - with sound technical and business knowledge, preferably with 3 years relevant working experience;
  • Highly motivated and detail-minded with strong analytical skill;
  • Ability to work under pressure with strong time management skill;
  • Good team player with strong interpersonal and communications skills;
  • Control and efficiency mindset;
  • Proficiency in Excel.
Education
  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or relevant discipline or qualified accountants
