The opportunity
We currently have an exciting, open term full time opportunity for a Team Leader - Cloud and Infrastructure Operations, to join QIC's Operations and Technology team in our Brisbane CBD head office.
This is a newly created opportunity for a hands-on leader to make their mark in this dynamic role that will see you lead a team of six Systems Engineers who provide level 3 support and infrastructure operations to the business. You will foster a culture of growth within the team through your technical expertise and ability to coach and develop others.
You will work closely with the Cloud and Infrastructure Manager to enhance current state processes while ensuring the team provides a high level of proactive and reactive support to QIC's infrastructure environment, ensuring appropriate capacity and performance levels are available to meet the high performing business needs. You will contribute to the delivery of team and organisational technology projects that are industry leading.
With your excellent collaboration and communication skills, you will work alongside the Team Leaders across the wider Technology team to harmonise operations and meet the overarching technology objectives. You will be exposed to QIC's leading technology infrastructure and our Cloud First approach, to which your creativity will help shape our processes as the adoption continue to evolve.
The ideal candidate
As a passionate technologist, you will join a high calibre team and together contribute to the success of QIC's diverse investment capabilities. The ideal candidate for this role, you will have the following skills/experience:
Experience in leading a team focused on delivering IT operations
5+ years' experience in deploying and supporting Microsoft Windows server and client operating systems, IT platforms and devices
Qualification/Degree in Information Technology or related industry
Level 3 system and user support based on ITIL processes of Incident, Problem, and Change and Release
ITIL V3 Foundations Certification
Advanced knowledge and application of the following:
Microsoft PowerShell
Microsoft Windows 10
Microsoft Windows Server
Microsoft Office 365
Infrastructure automation
Microsoft Azure
AWS
Business productivity - Microsoft Office (including Office 365) and Internet browsers
Desktop and Server SOE creation, maintenance and deployment including remote control, patch management, operating system deployment, network access protection and hardware and software inventory
Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management
Application, Server and Desktop virtualisation
Applications packaging, sequencing and deployment (SCM)
Data Loss Protection, Antivirus and Host Intrusion Protection (McAfee)
The following skills/experience are desirable:
Backup and Disaster Recovery (Commvault, DoubleTake, VMware)
Messaging, especially Microsoft Exchange
Collaboration (Microsoft Skype for Business)
Microsoft OMS
Understanding of networking concepts and use
ITIL V3 Operational Support and Analysis (OSA) certification
