Financial Accountant

On behalf of a business based in the centre of Reading I am recruiting for a permanent Financial Accountant to join their large accounts team.

Client Details

My client currently has a finance team of around 50 accountants who range between graduates to qualified team leaders and managers. My client is based centrally and is only a short walk from Reading train station but do not have parking available.

Description

The successful applicant for this permanent role will be responsible for the following key tasks:

• You will prepare an audit file at year end to assist in the statutory process and assist with preparation of draft financial statements

• Preparation of monthly financial accounting data including calculating and processing accruals, prepayments and other entries as required

• Assist with production of P&Ls and flash pack and collation of additional analysis from commercial team.
  Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.

• Assist with the preparation of management accounts comprising of preparing, processing and recording bank transactions, processing purchase, sales and general ledger.

Profile

The successful candidate for this permanent role will:

• Be actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA
• Have a good working knowledge of accounting processes and reporting
• Have a intermediate level of Excel (vlook-ups, Pivot tables)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
