Our client is recruiting for a Head of Finance due to internal promotion. The business has experienced growth over the past three years, with the last twelve months being particularly successful. As Head of Finance, you will report directly into the Board of Directors, managing and leading an established finance team. You will take ownership of all financial reporting, management accounting and statutory reporting requirements of the business whilst managing a small department covering all transaction processing and accounting.
Additional areas of responsibility would include support in the development of new processes, systems and controls as the organisation continues on its strategic growth path. Other key responsibilities will include:–
??Preparation of monthly management reports, P&L, balance sheet, cash flow and supporting commentary.
??Providing concise operational accounting information to the board, departments and budget holders
??Acting as the point of contact for external stakeholders including the bank, auditors, key suppliers
??Supporting in the implementation of business strategies alongside the Senior Management Team
??Forging close working relationships with Heads of Department and Directors, acting as a financial business partner.
??Management of both budgeting and forecasting activities.
??Supervision and development of a small finance team.
??Supporting in the continued expansion plans of the organisation as it looks to secure new markets.
??Proactivecashflow management, ensuring accurate cash positioning at all times.
??Management of lock up with Heads of Departments and senior lawyers to ensure reduction in lock up days
??Company secretarial duties
??Investment appraisal including acquisitions, key recruitment and technology
??Ensure regular management information and automation / improvement of existing information
The ideal candidate for this role will be a qualified (ACA/ACCA) accountant, currently operating at senior management level. This is a part–time role requiring 3 or 4 days per week, with flexibility on hours/days worked. To apply for this role you must demonstrate:
