Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper/Assistant Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Guildford

• General Ledger management including preparation of accruals, prepayments and foreign exchange revaluations and monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and interrogation;

• Multicurrency Accounts Payable, invoice coding, entry and payments;

• Multicurrency Cashbook journals and HSBC bank reconciliations;

• Cashflow reconciliation and management;

• Multicurrency Accounts Receivable and Credit Control;

• Preparation of monthly payroll schedule for all base salary and commissions, and liaison with the payroll provider and subsequent journals;

• Sales administration with preparation of quotations, invoices, purchase orders to clients and partners and chasing where necessary;

• Finance representation at weekly internal Project Management Meeting and other meetings as required;

• Manage monthly payments to European partners via specific extract from internal database;

• Creation of key partner Purchase Orders and maintenance of overall PO database;

• Processing of staff expenses, including directors' expenses and other Credit Card entries;

• Preparation of quarterly VAT and EC Sales lists and submission of returns;

• Fixed Asset management and depreciation journals to General Ledger;

• Preparation of statutory audit files;

• On behalf of Company Secretary (CEO) prepare and submit Annual Returns for live and dormant companies, as well as preparing dormant company accounts.

Profile

A successful candidate will have experience with the above & be available to start on short notice.
