My client is a specialist in medical education within the pharmaceutical sector. Due to recent growth they are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.
This will be based in their new office close to Bank/Cannon Street stations, in the City of London.

My client is a specialist in medical education within the pharmaceutical sector. They run seminars and and conferences to introduce health care professionals to new treatments available on the market.
Due to growth in their UK market the company is now looking to hire an Accounts Assistant on a temporary to permanent basis.
This is a newly created role and it would suit someone who is in the early stages of their career to broaden their finance knowledge.

Accounts Assistant, City of London
Roles and Duties:
- Logging all supplier invoices for the UK business.
- Coding and circulation of invoices to budget holders
- Cash allocations (supplier related).
- Purchase ledger maintenance & reporting.
- Work in Progress control accounts.
- Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements to supplier ledger.
- Online payments of Suppliers weekly/monthly.
- Provide information to support accurate and timely cash planning.
- Credit Card - analysis, coding and input
Any adhoc, duties as required.
Profile
- Min of 1 year+ experience in a similar role within a finance team.
- Online Banking in the workplace (one of the major banks).
- Good understanding of the Barclays online business software.
- Good basic understanding of VAT on purchase invoicing in UK and EU.
- AAT Qualification of higher in Accountancy or Bookkeeping.
Job Offer
The successful candidate will be paid between £11-13 per hour depending on experience.
The equivalent permanent salary will be between £22,000 - £25,000.
