An opportunity for an Assistant Management Accountant to be based in North Kent working for a well established organisation who offer continued career development.

Description

  • Processing month-end reporting and journal adjustments such as prepayments and accruals.
  • Processing monthly variance analysis reports for the budget holders.
  • Support the Finance Manager with the monthly intercompany reporting.
  • Preparing monthly Intrastat compliance reports and reviewing monthly VAT reconciliations.
  • Preparation of payroll files and pension submission.
  • Preparing monthly KPI reports for review by the Finance Manager.
  • Reviewing aged debtors and aged creditors and assisting in maintaining up-to-date records.
  • Review and analyse monthly inventory reports.
  • Review weekly and monthly multi-currency bank reconciliations.
  • Supervise company credit card reconciliations.
  • Review the Fixed Asset Register against current year Capex budget.
  • Monthly/weekly sales reporting.
  • To partake in operating and improving internal controls and processes within the finance function.
  • Review Letter of Credit 'status' for credit control.
  • Profile

  • AAT or equivalent qualified
  • Part Qualified, and studying towards your accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
  • Experience in an accounting environment, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Eager to learn and take on challenges
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • Good Excel, MS Word and Outlook skills
  • A keen eye with the ability to analyse data
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Self-starter with a pro-active approach to their work
  • Experience in using SAGE Accounts
  • Good understanding of fundamental accounting principles
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as using own initiative
  • Strong communication skills and good professional manner
